Our evening in Chur was spent wandering the Old Town.  We had a lovely Italian dinner in an old historic building to the sounds of church bells and excited World Cup fans. While there, we enjoyed the many uniquely decorated building exteriors and medieval cobbled alleys.

The next morning we went back to the ever-widening Rhine River.   The milky color of the water is typical of glacial rivers.  Calcium is reputed to be the source of the bluish-white color.

Like the Rhine,  the valley was widening also, with crops of wheat,  corn and other vegetables.   Orchards and vineyards were visible on the lower slopes.

We chose a shady playground to eat our picnic lunch and Sal relaxed in a breezy swing to the amusement of one or two children,  and Ken!

We rode on in the afternoon to Sargans, a short distance away from the Rhine.  We checked in to our hotel just in time to watch the men's finals at Wimbledon.
